Changing the Font Size on the Reading Pane

As many of our users know, RSS Bandit uses Internet Explorer as it's embedded Web browser. Somewhere along the line in the switch to Internet Explorer 7 from Internet Explorer 6 we lost the ability to change the size of the font in the embedded Web browser by using the [Ctrl] and [+] or [-] keys in intermediate releases.

We have gotten numerous complaints about this issue so this morning I went ahead and checked in a fix to this problem to get my mind of the problems around how to deal with synchronization with Google Reader when the user makes a lot of changes to their subscriptions while offline. The fix to the text size problem was fairly straightforward once I found the Microsoft knowledgebase article Q304103: How To Change the Font Size in a WebBrowser Control That Is Hosted Inside a Visual Basic Application.

I've added a menu for controlling the font size which is similar to the "Text Size" menu in Internet Explorer. You can find a screenshot of the new menu here.

Update: Change the size of the font in the embedded Web browser by using the [Ctrl] and [+] or [-] keys is fixed for releases 1.8.0.870 and higher.
